Plymouth Armed Forces Day

Saturday 27th June is Armed Forces Day and this is a time to say a big thank you to all the men and women who make up the military community.

When you click on it look come down and find the picture that says “Support for Veterans” – scroll down, nearly to the end, and you will find the AOW.   “Visit Website” does exactly that takes you to our website.
 
“Contact” brings up all our local branches and IG’s as well as the address for both the AOW and WRNS BT. 

At the top click on “Community” then “Gallery of Supporters” and scrolling down you will find a photo of the Drake RNA members who are also AOW members, bar one who is a member of the QARNNS, both Plymouth IG and Drake Branch. 

Click on “Gallery” and you will find one of Plymouth IG, Susan Rogers, with her husband Graham who is a former RM Bandsman. 

Click on “Military” the “Royal Navy & Royal Marines” and you will find both HMS DRAKE Volunteer Band.  One of the band members is also a member of the AOW and has been known to play in the HMS RALEIGH RM Band occasionally at their concerts and is currently on the staff at HMS RALEIGH.
